Kip Deville takes the spoils as Excellent Art excels from his draw

Kip Deville denied the Europe favorite, Excellent Art, in the Breeders Cup Mile 2007 at Monmouth Park.

Kip Deville was always close to the leaders and by the home straight had opened up. Excellent Art, inconvenienced by the graveyard number 13 draw (of the 14 stalls) came with a powerful run around the outside by could not quite catch Kip Deville. Cosmonaut was third with Nobiz Like Shobiz in fourth.

Frankie Dettori struggled on the other European challenger, Michael Stoute's Jeremy, who did not act on the soft going.
