Corinthian stormed to a facile victory in desperate conditions at Monmouth Park in the Breeders Cup Dirt Mile on Friday (October 26, 2007).

Trained by Jimmy Jerkins, Corinthian was clear of Gottcha Gold, who had tried to make all at a blinding pace for the sloppy conditions.

The disappointing 7-4 favorite, Discreet Cat, had to settle for a very distant third after ever failing to land a blow.
