Street Sense heads for Breeders Cup Classic (posted: August 2007): After a cosy victory in Saratoga's Travers Stakes, Kentucky Derby winner Street Sense is eyeing the Breeders Cup Classic. While trainer Carl Nafzger is keeping his options open it is possible Street Sense could skip his next intended target of Turfway's Grade 2 Kentucky Cup Classic and head straight to Monmouth Park for the Classic. Other big guns aiming at The Breeders Cup include Lawyer Ron, Tiago, Lava Man and the Distaff Stakes-bound Ginger Punch. Light Shift up for Breeders Cup (posted: August 2007): The English Oaks heroine, Light Shift, may round off her season with a trip to The Breeders Cup. Trainer Henry Cecil's stable star is having a mid-season rest before heading to Longchamp, France on October 7 for the 1m 2f Prix De L'Opera. If all goes well then, the three-year-old filly, who is only cantering at the moment, will be aimed at The Breeders Cup. Youmzain goes for Breeders Cup (posted: July 2007): UK trainer Mick Channon has stated that Youmzain, who was runner-up to Dylan Thomas in the Group 1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot at the end of July, will head for the Breeders Cup. But first the colt, a son of Sinndar, will run in the Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp, Europe's premier all-age, all-gender mile and a half race.
